I’ve been puking all night. I’m finally able to sit up and clear my head some. Eth has been here most of the night, but I sent him away and asked him to bring a palace doctor down. They sent Shivan and she’s been great. She couldn’t give me anything to help with the nausea since it would interfere with the Elyium.
I think I heard Tabari and Eth going at it last night. I don’t know what was said, but it sounded like when Tabari left he wasn’t happy. I need to remember to ask Eth about it when I see him.
I just asked Shivan if we should postpone the ceremony, but she insisted I’ll be fine. I told her about my Ryse ceremony and, although she tried to hide it, I saw and felt her concern. It could have been wrapped in worry too, but my head was throbbing and I didn’t want to intrude. She went into doctor mode after that and gave me all the words of comfort she knew. She did agree to stay until after the Kindling to ensure that all is well. It’s a small comfort but at least there will be someone here to help.
Ke’Lyn called three times to “check” on me. I let it go to voice mail and haven’t even listened to them yet. I’m sure she found out that I’m not where I said I was going to be and her handlers are pressing her to get more information. I am so, pathetic! Part of me wants to give her some information so she could stay in good standing with them and the other part of me doesn’t want to be bothered.
